Default FOGO classroom door

Iceman's been very busy... After go congress, I returned to school to find out I've been changed from a 4th grade teacher to a 4/5 combo. While this is fun and I've a great class, it keeps me busier than usual.

Anyway, our school's book fair has a safari theme and the PTA held a door contest for safari door decorations. Our class decided to link reading, safari and GO. Students did all the work, including measuring out the 'go board', tracing the animals from digital projector and aligning them with go positions, and coloring with oil pastels. The exciting thing is the buzz in the hallway. Teachers and non-go playing students are now talking about monkey jumps and bamboo joints. I wanted to fit the butterfly position on there but did not have enough room. The great thing is I can keep this for my go club to teach some positions. The images aren't too light for the monkey details, but you get the idea. Here's are small and full sized images:

Wow, those are terrific! Love the animal drawings, and the kids learn from it too.

Wow, that's awesome. I especially like how you got the elephant's eye right in the middle of the elephant move (I frequently hear that move called the "elephant's eye").

I suppose putting the sake bottle shape in there would have been frowned upon, it being elementary school and all...
