Learn to Play Go, Vol. IV: Battle Strategies, Janice KimEssential principles and techniques for good fighting, many explained in English for the first time: Comments & ReviewsMore advanced, yet lacking depth - Written by Codexus
![]() I bought the first four books in the series at the same time, but this fourth volume isn’t intended for the same audience as the first three. It’s more advanced. There are two parts: “Middle Game” and “Life & Death”. Like the previous volumes it covers a lot of ground but briefly. Only now, the subjects are more advanced and would require a more in depth approach. So I’m not really sure who this book is for, a more advanced player may prefer more specific books and the beginner will be lost. It’s not bad, there are interesting elements in it, and it’s an enjoyable read. It’s just not the most indispensable book to have in one’s library.
