Think Like a Pro: Haengma, Youngsun Yoon
This book is divided into four parts: shapes that take control of the situation, shapes that breakout, shapes for attacking, and shapes that come from jeongseok. The book is divided into five levels of difficulty. Actual professional game examples were placed at the end of the volume to aid in understanding Why are the jeongseok changing that were once correct? It is because the advantage point system has changed. It follows that black seeks more in the opening and that the old jeongseok have had to be reanalyzed. The old jeongseok and haengma are newly transformed and onging changes.This book deals with popular shapes often seen in real games and in recent matches. If you want to learn the basic shapes, real games will be a lot of help.
This addition to the collection of books reflecting current thinking among Korean pros focuses on haengma, which means the shape and flow of a sequence of plays, that is, the order and relationships of a series of moves. The problems considered arise in opening and early middle game play. The author emphasizes new ideas and shows how and why they depart from standard patterns. A large number of pro games illustrating the recommended patterns are included.
The original Korean text is included with the English translation.

Mindblowingly satisfying, but... - Written by

Though this book covers haengma, or shapes (categorized into shapes that accomplish different things, such as breaking out), it almost feels like a book of tesujis.
Though "Think like a Pro" is a book of problems, due to the sheer difficulty of these problems, only a very limited number of users could probably stand a chance at getting these. As a 1d, I could only get about 50 – 75% of the difficulty 1-2 star’d problems—;.
Though beautiful to see the solutions come into play (especially since most of the answers are actual pro game moves), don’t expect yourself to improve so much by reading this book.
PROS::
-The solutions are very beautiful and plenty of variations are analyzed, including the "typical" answer that you might have thought of and how the pro answer smashes it.
-If the board is suitable and you can remember these golden "answers" and execute them just like the book (which, by the way, is absolutely realistic.), expect a surprised opponent and a 1-minute glory of pro-ness. If I can do it (once), so can you! ;)
-Shapes that accomplish different purposes is a rare topic covered, but this book does it quite well.
CONS::
-Extremely difficult to actually figure out the solutions.
-At least a basic vocabulary of Korean badook terms is needed, and not all terms used in the book are covered in the glossary/translations.
-Not really a book aimed at improving your strength.
My recommended level for readers: To enjoy: 1k – 10k. To actually solve: 1d+, 5d+ for lvl.4-5.
