Those are really cool books, but where can we find them at the lowest price? I heard a friend who bought the six books for only 12RMB and less (about 6 euros).

These are proble my most favorite go books. They are very good and can help you at most any level. I’m an english speaking person with some knowlege of chinese and was able to read them well even with out being able to read some of the chinese. Great problems and very easy to understand on language level.

I love these books. The problems range from very easy (e.g. perhaps challenging for 20k) in the first volume to quite challenging (dan level and above) in the last volume.

As the other review says, the paper quality is poor but given the price the set is usually sold at they are a good bargain.

NOTE: if you buy them from a seller in China shipping costs are very high to the USA. It would be helpful if you could find friend to make a larger combined order to amortize your shipping costs.

I am a KGS 13k at the moment and I just started with Vol 1 of this series (I own all of them.) and it’s just fine in terms of difficulty. Be aware that at this level tsumego skills may vary a lot and other KGS 13k might find it too difficult or too easy.
The difficulty goes up pretty quickly and I guess Vol 5 and 6 are at dan level.
There are three "solution" diagrams for every problem on the opposite side of the page. The correct solution (takes sometimes two diagrams if more moves are needed), a variation or a wrong move and another wrong try.

On thing though, the paper is pretty thin and if you want to, you could probably decipher the solution through the paper. (So don’t buy if you feel to tempted to look at the solution straight ahead.) O
