These Go stories are fun to read, and give a glimpse into the Japanese pro Go world several decades ago. A wonderful book - Written by gowan
![]() I don’t understand Shsydwyrm’s comment. He gives a lower rating because this book doesn’t teach go technique, but it isn’t intended to do that. However, I would say it can improve your go by improving your appreciation for go culture and thereby improving your motivation. Entertaining - Written by Shaydwyrm
![]() As DrStraw says, this book is lots of fun to read, but isn’t really a tool to improve. I found the writing to be an interesting look at professional go culture. The problems were quite cool, but were not particularly difficult. One thing they did do for me though was give me the confidence that I can read a ladder all the way across the board (and more!) without losing my place. If you’re just looking for entertainment, this book is worth 5 stars. If you’re looking to improve your game, more like 2 stars. Simply Delightful ... - Written by DrStraw
