![]() Its helps if you already know the joseki variations given, but even if you don’t, there are very few books that cover joseki choice and positional judgment in the opening this thoroughly. The only nit I have is that the low kakari volume doesn’t have the section on choosing the right pincer that the high kakari volume has. Also, I wish there were a star point series, but I asked Phil Straus about this and he said it is unlikely. Excellent for high kyu and above - Written by DrStraw
![]() I was already 5d by the time this book was published, but I still found it an excellent source of good information. It was not so much that the material was new, as much as the approach to it was fresh. Highly recommended for anyone close to shodan or above.
