SmartGo offers a wide range of functions for Go players from 20 kyu to 6 dan. Its powerful features are easily accessible in a well designed user interface. The main functions in SmartGo are grouped into tabs that organize your Go activities as well as your games.

SmartGo comes with over 43000 professional games, more than 2000 problems, and provides numerous tools for benefiting from that data. It provides instant matching for joseki and fuseki, and faster matching than Kombilo for arbitrary patterns. You can play against SmartGo (slightly weaker than Many Faces or GNU Go, but more fun), against GNU Go, MoGo, or on IGS.

Free 15-day trial; still usable as Viewer after that. Switch on-the-fly between English, Japanese, Korean, German, French, Polish, or Russian.

Comments & Reviews

Smartgo has wonderful tools for in-depth game reviews. It comes with a large amount of games at the start and you may sort the games you are viewing by player, year, level, etc. The only tricky thing is trying to print games, you need to go through several steps in order to do so. The problems tab is helpful, the matching tab even more so if you want to learn or just want to browse.
