My name is Rick Matheson. I was born in 1977, and served six years in the US Air Force. I just graduated in December of 2007 with my B.A. degree in Education, and am now a High School teacher in Phoenix, Arizona.

My first exposure to Go was in the movie Pi. After seeing the film, I went out and learned Go. This was about 2001. I only played a month, and then took the game up again in 2002 and 2005, each time only for a month or so due to military life and other things.

I've recently begun to play again. I have a blog up at usgoplayer.blogspot.com, which is just a Go journal for myself and my journeys in Go. I am thinking about starting a Go club at my high school.
